Your Opportunity

BDO's Strategic Pursuit Centre (SPC) is seeking a Senior Manager to join our team of dedicated proposal professionals. The Senior Manager will be responsible for providing oversight to the national SPC team, a Centre of Excellence (COE) that manages the pursuit process across the country for both public and private sector clients.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Senior Manager will offer strategic insight, influence change, and manage the SPC team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the SPC team
  • Leading managers to ensure intake and triage of proposals are clear and efficient
  • Stakeholder management and providing leadership on pursuit-related issues
  • Supporting the strategic direction with contributions from Managers and leadership
  • Building awareness and driving utilization of the SPC by presenting service offerings and intake models across the firm
  • Regular reporting of key metrics and insights to leadership (wins/losses, win rate, revenue, utilization, debriefs, etc.)
  • Monitoring services delivered to clients and pursuit teams, driving process improvements, and facilitating 360-degree feedback
  • Ensuring regular feedback is provided to the team
  • Advising and guiding SPC Managers and firm leadership on achieving strategic objectives
  • Leading and influencing change to align with strategic priorities

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field; a university degree is preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in pursuits, proposal development, and opportunity management within professional services or consulting sectors
  • Expertise managing end-to-end proposal processes across public and private sectors
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams, manage complex timelines, and engage senior stakeholders
  • Strong project management knowledge and structured approach
  • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to influence and tailor messaging
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Proficiency in virtual team leadership and collaboration tools
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with SharePoint and Teams is an asset
  • Strong facilitation and strategic initiative skills
  • Experience in change management and driving best practice adoption
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
