We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Senior Manager of Security Content Development to lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing detection capabilities across our security ecosystem. This role will drive the evolution of our cyber detection and threat management program, ensuring timely threat identification, minimizing false positives, and enabling rapid incident response.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and mentor detection engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define and execute the detection engineering roadmap aligned with organizational risk priorities and threat landscape.
- Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Security Operations teams for cohesive threat detection coverage.
- Detection Development:
- Oversee design, development, and tuning of detection logic across SIEM, EDR, NDR, DLP, and cloud platforms.
- Map detections to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, aligned with threat models and use cases.
- Implement best practices for scalable, testable, and version-controlled detection logic.
- Operational Excellence:
- Establish KPIs to measure detection efficacy, coverage, and performance.
- Drive automation and integration of detection pipelines with alerting, triage, and response workflows.
- Lead post-incident detection gap analysis and improvements.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with IT, Cloud, and Application teams to adapt detection strategies.
- Communicate detection capabilities and outcomes to technical and executive stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in leadership focused on detection engineering or threat detection.
