Purpose

The Senior Manager, Reporting & Analytics supports the success of the GBM&T Compliance program by managing compliance reporting for the Senior Vice President of GBM&T Compliance. The role involves developing a globally aligned approach for compliance reporting, executing internal policies, and promoting best practices to ensure delivery of global initiatives and regulatory programs aligned with GBM&T’s strategies and regulations.

Accountabilities

  1. Support the development, adoption, and maintenance of a globally aligned reporting approach in GBM&T, including KRIs, KPIs, and other metrics in collaboration with Enterprise Compliance, regional teams, and stakeholders.
  2. Streamline and automate reporting processes to reduce manual effort and errors, enabling leadership to derive better insights.
  3. Identify opportunities for process optimization across GBM&T Compliance teams and lead/support automation efforts.
  4. Support other GBM&T Compliance processes with a globally aligned approach as needed.
  5. Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  6. Foster a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships and systems.
  7. Ensure effective operations, adherence to business controls, and compliance risk management in line with Scotiabank’s values and Code of Conduct.
  8. Promote a high-performance and inclusive work environment.

Education/Experience

  • University Degree or College Diploma; professional designations such as CPA, CFA, MBA are assets.
  • 7+ years of experience in the Financial Industry, preferably in Capital Markets or 1st/2nd/3rd line of defense.
  • Extensive knowledge of Global Banking & Markets, Group Treasury, and compliance risk management.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting materials for senior management.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and process automation.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and an inquisitive mindset.
