About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager, Regional Planning to lead national planning for our Co-Pack / Re-Pack network and Purchased Finished Goods (PFG) supply chain. This role is pivotal in managing end-to-end supply planning to ensure optimal inventory levels, production efficiency, and service excellence, all while maintaining cost-effectiveness across our Canadian operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans, managing supplier performance, optimizing resource allocation, and contributing to continuous improvement within the supply chain function.

Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning team responsible for production and raw material planning across all co-packers.
  • Oversee supply planning for the PFG network, covering procurement of approximately 16 million cases annually across Canada.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, operations, and distribution teams to ensure alignment with service level goals and cost targets.
  • Own and manage the monthly supply planning cycle, including supply reviews (SR) for co-pack and PFG SKUs and participation in the company-wide S&OP process.
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify and implement direct ship opportunities, pre-builds, and efficient product flows.
  • Manage a high-performing team of PPDS Specialists and Replenishment Analysts.
  • Develop and monitor Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and perform skills gap assessments to drive team capability.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to ensure alignment with corporate goals and continuous professional growth.
  • Track and report key KPIs: inventory coverage, out-of-stock rates, code expiry trends, and supply chain responsiveness.
  • Resolve daily operational issues with co-pack and PFG suppliers and support longer-term relationship development.
  • Proactively manage vendor performance, especially regarding raw material availability and finished goods delivery.

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce costs, and improve agility.
  • Maintain and update documentation of all supply planning processes and SOPs.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain performance and deliver measurable improvements in service and cost metrics.
  • Ensure high customer service levels through optimized inventory availability and on-time delivery.
  • Minimize product obsolescence and code expiry losses.
  • Maintain cost-effective operations within supply chain budgets.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials and ingredients for uninterrupted production.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in supply planning, materials management, and vendor performance in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to execute when needed, and an experienced people leader who thrives on developing talent and improving processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: University degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
  • Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years in progressively senior roles within supply chain, with strong exposure to production planning, inventory management, and vendor negotiations.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in food & beverage, CPG, or similarly complex distribution networks preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced knowledge of supply planning systems and ERP tools (e.g., SAP, PPDS, APO, or equivalent).
    • Strong understanding of inventory control, S&OP, and forecasting principles.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Initiative-driven, results-oriented, and change agile.
