Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Regional Marketing, contributes to regional success and profitability by developing and implementing marketing, sponsorship, and communications strategies. The role involves creating and executing regional communication plans to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition and retention, promote product usage, and enhance employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Regional Marketing and Communication Strategy
  2. Manage planning, coordination, and execution of regional initiatives to support business objectives.
  3. Collaborate with regional and national teams to align strategies and support local leadership.
  4. Develop and oversee marketing campaigns and activation initiatives.
  5. Manage multiple projects ensuring they meet strategic goals, timelines, and budgets.
  6. Lead cross-functional teams and share best practices.
  7. Serve as a trusted advisor within the regional team and advocate for customer needs.
  8. Promote marketing tools and resources to regional sales teams.
External and Internal Communications
  1. Develop key messages to enhance the bank’s image and attract/retain clients.
  2. Build relationships with internal partners to craft effective communication plans.
  3. Manage regional events and leverage social media platforms for strategic communications.
Sponsorship and Community Initiatives
  1. Maintain relationships with sponsorship and philanthropy partners.
  2. Strategically advise on sponsorship properties and negotiate deals.
  3. Coordinate regional marketing and sponsorship activities and maintain a comprehensive calendar.
Budget Management
  1. Assist in developing annual budgets.
  2. Track expenses and provide regular updates.
  3. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Business or Communications preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing or communications, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional teams.
