Job summary

Metrolinx, a government of Ontario agency, seeks a Senior Manager, Project Delivery for the GO/UP division to lead design, development, and execution of major railway infrastructure. You will manage staff and external partners to deliver on schedule, budget and safety standards across planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

The role requires a degree in transportation/engineering, strong PM capability, and familiarity with Ontario legislation; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Formal degree in transportation, architecture, or civil engineering or equivalent.
• Progressive experience in engineering and/or project management for complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, budgets and schedules with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop project delivery strategies for a major capital program to ensure consistent, coordinated delivery.
• Plan objectives and control activities across all program phases in a hybrid-matrix environment.
• Contribute to development and review of project plans, schedules and tender documents for optimal coordination.
• Review consultant proposals and contractor submittals; recommend solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
• Provide leadership oversight to identify milestones, risks and mitigation actions early in the project lifecycle.
• Oversee activities to identify risks and non‑compliance and take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead the development of technical specifications and interfaces across stations, track and signaling on the GO network.
