Our Lightspeed RF System Engineering team defines the performance required of all RF elements in the satellite communication system. This job posting desires management experience, but we will equally consider candidates who are solid individual contributors with some team-lead assignments in the past, and Telesat will provide on-the-job training to become an effective manager.
As a Senior Manager of Radio System Engineering, you will lead all technical aspects of the radio system architecture of the Telesat Lightspeed systems in terms of air interface definition, concept of operations, functional descriptions, and physical implementation of the RF functions. In particular, you will define the functional and performance requirements related to the radio system function as applicable to the satellite payload, user terminals, and landing stations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
