Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee assurance and audit engagements for both public and private clients.
  • Provide technical expertise and solutions on complex accounting matters.
  • Train, mentor, and review the work of junior and intermediate accountants.
  • Anticipate engagement risks, assess alternatives, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with managers, partners, and client service teams to meet timelines and expectations.
  • Build long-term client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Drive engagement efficiency and maintain firm quality standards.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation (mandatory).
  • 1–2 years’ post-designation experience with at least 3 years in audit / assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Auditing Standards, IFRS / ASPE, ASNPO, and US GAAP (asset).
  • Prior experience managing and mentoring a team (minimum 1 year).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong engagement management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting systems.
