As the Senior Manager, Proprietary Advisor Development, you will lead a team that provides in-field consultation and training to RBC Insurance (RBCI) Advice Center & Field Sales Advisors and Leaders for the Life, Living Benefits, and Wealth product lines. Your team will be responsible for achieving sales and business development goals through the support of RBC Insurance Advisors by providing in-field training, consultation, and joint client meetings.

What will you do?

  • Build content, deliver training, and coach your team to support the achievement of business goals.
  • Deliver training and presentations at national and leadership events.
  • Maintain key partnerships with business heads, senior leaders, RVPs, Business Development, and H.O Partners.
  • Support and coach Insurance Advice Consultants to ensure they provide in-field training, consultations, and joint client meetings.
  • Upskill Sales & Advice consultants on sales concepts, market, and product updates.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Demonstrate exemplary presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration and proven communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Industry designations (e.g., CLU, CHS, CFP).
  • Professional sales experience demonstrating passion through opportunity spotting, cross-selling, and meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Advanced insurance product knowledge and active involvement in the insurance industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales concepts for upskilling advisors and client execution.
  • Strong consulting, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven success in relationship management.
  • Must have a car and valid driver’s license.
  • Must have Life License Qualifying Program (LLQP) designation.
  • Travel: 25-50%.

Nice-to-have

  • University education or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • French language skills are considered an asset.
