Zusammenfassung

Vaco, in partnership with a leading global real estate investor, seeks a Senior Manager, Accounting (Property Accounting) to lead a 4–5 person property accounting team.

The role focuses on accuracy and timeliness of property-level financial reporting across a large commercial/retail portfolio, with hands-on leadership, process improvement, and strategic collaboration with senior management. Toronto-based with hybrid work two days per week.

Qualifikationen

• Familiar with CAM, property taxes and recoveries.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Accounting will oversee a team of Property Accountants responsible for a large commercial or retail real estate portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of property-level financial reporting, complex accounting activities and ongoing process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 4-5 Property Accountants
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting across a large commercial or retail property portfolio
• Review monthly reporting, reconciliations and property-level financial results
• Oversee complex recoveries, CAM, property taxes and related accounting activities
• Monitor cash flows and support budgeting and financial decision-making
• Review team deliverables and provide hands-on support with complex accounting issues
• Drive process improvements while strengthening the capabilities of the accounting team

About You

• Strong commercial or retail property accounting experience
• Experience overseeing large, complex property portfolios, including properties with significant tenant volumes
• Strong knowledge of complex recoveries, CAM and property taxes
• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and reviewing the work of accounting teams
