Appnovation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multi-functional teams across complex digital transformation initiatives for global clients. You will oversee discovery, design and execution, manage budgets, and drive profitability and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in digital agency or consulting environments, strong English communication, and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management experience in a digital agency, professional services or consulting environment.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to estimate project costs, set deadlines, and manage large client-facing project teams.
• Experience managing projects with budgets in excess of $1M.
• Familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Ideally located in or near Vancouver or Toronto.

• Work with strategists, developers, architects, product managers, designers and client representatives to define project direction and requirements.
• Participate in pre-sales processes, oversee pre-sales teams and respond to RFPs and estimates.

• Define project schedules, create detailed plans and write status reports.
• Develop resource plans and assess risks and issues.
• Grow long-term client relationships and identify add-on opportunities.

As a Senior Project Manager with Appnovation, you'll be responsible for managing multi-functional teams in the business of consulting, designing, developing, training and supporting digital transformation and digital marketing solutions for our clients around the world!

You will have the opportunity to

• Lead and manage multiple complex projects concurrently


• Work closely with strategists, developers, architects, product managers, designers, and the client's representatives to define the direction, approach and requirements to project manage the discovery, design and execution


• Participate in the pre-sales process (opportunity management, oversee and run pre-sales teams to create responses to RFPs, estimates, etc.)


• Manage project budgets and maintain costs to remain within or under budget


• Analyze profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization across projects


• Determine project schedules, create detailed project plans and scope statements, and write status reports for each stage of the project


• Estimate and track project costs, develop resource plans, and work to assess potential issues and risks


• Define project management policies and ensure their implementation in all stages of a project


• Develop impact assessments, statements of work, and other project documentation


• Grow long-term relationships with clients and capitalize on "add-on" sales opportunities across projects while constantly seeking out new opportunities with existing clients


• Provide leadership and guidance to all members of the project team and to other Delivery team members


• Identify and provide recommendations for process improvement in the delivery of projects

Who you are

• First and foremost, you are passionate about new technology, incredible with clients, and widely recognized for the depth of your Project Management skills


• 10+ years of Project Management experience in a digital agency, professional services or consulting environment, with a focus on managing large client-facing project teams and budgets


• Comfortable working with clients and discussing technical and business requirements


• Business analysis and requirements management experience an asset


• Excellent organizational and time management skills, and are able to communicate project details


• Able to estimate project costs, set deadlines, and effectively manage teams of professionals to meet deadlines


• Experience managing projects with substantial logistics, complexity and budgets in excess of $1M


• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization


• Preferably located in or close to Vancouver or Toronto


• An excellent working background with Agile and Waterfall methodologies


• A technical background with a solid understanding of, or hands-on experience with, software engineering, including experience in mobile development, web development or multi-tech platform implementation an asset


• Understanding of client business requirements, and the ability to present them in a form which is comprehensible to business users and technical professionals


• Fundamentally driven by ensuring good process and able to adapt different approaches and methodologies


• Exceptional planning, organizational and problem-solving skills


• Able and keen to work in a very fast paced, growth environment


• Interested in directly influencing the continued growth of Appnovation


• Project Management and/or Scrum Master certifications are a plus


• Ideally you have experience project managing health science related applications & solutions
