Job description

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment where your decisions drive performance across planning, logistics, and warehouse operations? If so, we want to hear from you.

Our client, a leading Tier 1 manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Manager, Production Control to lead a critical function within their North American operations. This is a high-impact role that oversees all aspects of production planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics — ensuring seamless coordination from component ordering to final shipment.

You will work cross-functionally to implement effective strategies, optimize warehouse performance, and provide leadership to a growing team of managers. This is more than just a job — it's an opportunity to drive change, mentor future leaders, and make your mark in a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Control

  • Develop and execute mid- and long-term production and warehouse strategies in alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of at least three direct managers; foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Guide component inventory decisions (domestic and overseas), including cost reviews and approvals.
  • Leverage real-time data and analytics to make informed decisions and support strategic planning.
  • Implement and track KPIs to drive continuous improvement and resolve issues in scheduling, capacity planning, and demand fluctuations.

Warehouse & Logistics Management

  • Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, packaging, and inventory control.
  • Implement and enhance Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ensure accurate inventory tracking and efficient order processing.
  • Design and lead lean process improvements, material flow strategy (Kanban, Heijunka), and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Lead budget development and management, focusing on sub-direct labor costs, freight, and warehousing efficiencies.
  • Champion safety, standardization, and compliance with North American manufacturing and logistics standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of manufacturing warehouse management experience, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a Tier 1 or OEM manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in production control, forecasting, and component inventory planning.
  • Deep knowledge of WMS, ERP (preferably CIGMA), and inventory control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, Kaizens, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Expertise in developing process flows (Visio), leading cross-functional teams, and managing competing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
