Are you ready to lead in the dynamic world of Supply Chain Asset Tracking and Intelligence? ORBCOMM, a market leader in this space, is looking for a passionate Product Manager for Smart trailers (Dry and Reefer) to help us maintain our leadership and drive business growth.

In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product vision and strategy for our Transportation portfolio, enabling our clients to run more efficient fleets and deliver their cargo on time and on budget. You will collaborate closely with Customers, Product Owners, Engineering, Sales, and external stakeholders to shape the success of your product line and drive revenue growth.

In this pivotal role, it is essential to have a deep understanding of data-driven contemporary technologies for customer value creation.

With a flexible hybrid working schedule, you can enjoy the best of both worlds—engaging in-person collaboration at our Sterling, VA office, while also enjoying the autonomy and comfort of remote work.

What You’ll Do :

  1. Market Research: Identify customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, focusing on technologies used in dry vans and reefers.
  2. Customer Engagement: Gather feedback and ensure our products deliver maximum value.
  3. Roadmap Definition: Align product requirements with our Supply Chain Visibility Strategy across Transportation and Maritime sectors, considering market trends.
  4. Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop products focused on real-time tracking, temperature monitoring, and value-added solutions like cargo monitoring and video-telematics.
  5. Go-to-Market: Drive pricing, positioning, and promotion for successful product launches.
  6. Channel Requirements: Adapt solutions to meet the needs of OEMs, VARs, Leasing companies, and Direct Customers.
  7. Performance Monitoring: Analyze key metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve product offerings.
  8. Stakeholder Management: Communicate progress effectively with all stakeholders.

Who You Are :

You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have :

  • Industry Experience: Strong background in the transportation industry, with specific knowledge of Dry and Reefer assets.
  • Technology Background: Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and integration technologies (e.g., ETL, data warehousing, BI tools, APIs).
  • Product Management: 5+ years of experience in Product Management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and training skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability and analytical business skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to customer and non-customer sites (10%-20%).
  • An inspiring portfolio showcasing products you have successfully grown in market share and revenue.
