Job summary

Accor is seeking a senior procurement professional in Toronto, Canada, to lead strategic sourcing across indirect spend categories, including Financial Services, Technology, HR, and Travel. You will partner with owner groups and business units to define goals, timelines, and governance while driving value through advanced negotiation and total cost of ownership analyses.

You will develop implementation plans, ensure cross-functional involvement, quantify outcomes, and deploy reporting

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, management consulting, advisory or professional services role with a demonstrated track record of results
  • Adaptive to fast paced, constantly changing environments and ability to work as part of a global team across geographic boundaries
  • Expertise in negotiations and contracting: including e-sourcing, should-cost models, leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts, and complex terms and conditions
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owner, business units and internal stakeholder groups
  • Execute sourcing projects per portfolio strategy
  • Define project goals, timelines, roles and responsibilities, and project management cadence
  • Apply total cost of ownership, e-Auctions, should-cost models and market knowledge
  • Develop implementation and communication plans with stakeholders and end users
  • Ensure involvement of all impacted organizations and individuals
  • Quantify and document results
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve pre‑agreed outcomes
  • Develop standard reporting for stakeholders on sourcing activity, contract expirations and supplier performance
  • Maintain deep category expertise across indirect spend categories and market changes
  • Provide stewardship of strategic sourcing policy and adoption
  • Policy implementation: align Accor policy with finance
  • Tool deployment: contribute to Coupa deployment and adoption
  • End-to-End Source-to-Pay for Indirect NCA categories
  • Validate purchase requests in Coupa for policy compliance
  • Produce regional performance reports and dashboards

Job Description
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owner, business units and internal stakeholder groups by continually demonstrating value and breaking down barriers to effective sourcing through polished executive influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Execute sourcing projects as defined within the portfolio strategy:
  • Define project goals, timelines, roles and responsibilities, and an overall project management cadence
  • Apply contemporary methods and innovative approaches, such as total cost of ownership, e-Auctions, should-cost models, and raw material index agreements
  • Develop comprehensive implementation and communication plans with stakeholders and end users
  • Ensure involvement of all organizations and individuals impacted
  • Quantify and document results
  • Develop and skillfully execute negotiation strategies to achieve desired, pre‑agreed outcomes
  • Develop and deploy standard reporting for key stakeholders that gauges satisfaction, engagement and performance against sourcing activities, upcoming contract expirations, supplier performance issues, and other key information
  • Develop and maintain deep category expertise across indirect spend categories and maintain market knowledge on changing innovations in indirect categories (Financial Services & Payments, Technology & Software, Human Resources, Telecommunications, Marketing, Loyalty, Operations, Travel, Consulting and others)
  • Provide stewardship of strategic sourcing policy as well as solution compliance and adoption throughout the organization
  • Policy Implementation: Implement Accor global procurement policy in partnership with finance.
  • Tool Deployment: Contribute to the Procure to Pay (Coupa) tool deployment for the region and ensure adoption, coordinating with technical teams.
  • End-to-End Process Ownership: Manage Source-to-Pay for Indirect NCA categories (Source-to-Contract & Procure-to-Pay).
  • Purchase Request Validation: Control and validate all purchase requests in Coupa, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Produce and analyze regional performance reports and dashboards as well as function financial tracking.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Business Process Management, Analytics, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, management consulting, advisory or professional services role with a demonstrated track record of results and increasing level of responsibility
  • A strong drive for people management and change management with high degree of resilience and self‑motivation
  • Adaptive to fast paced, constantly changing environments and ability to work as part of a global team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries to deliver better business results and share best practices
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing and leading multi‑category sourcing teams with broad hands on experience across food and beverage categories and decentralized environment
  • Expertise in negotiations and contracting: including e‑sourcing, should‑cost models, leveraged agreements, multi‑year contracts, complex terms and conditions, performance incentives, and management of corporate risk
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
  • Strong orientation to team leadership, coaching, collaboration, and positive communication
  • Exceptional data analysis and financial acumen skills
  • Demonstrating strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software.

  • Retail, Hospitality, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) or Consulting industry experience
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) designations
  • Fluency in French
