Role Overview: As the Senior Manager, Portfolio Management & Strategic Initiatives, you will manage and support the daily operations of the banking and mutual fund portfolios within the Retail Client Value, Deposits, and Investments team in Canada. Your focus will be ensuring that business strategies, plans, and initiatives comply with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
2. Support end-to-end project management for retail deposits strategic initiatives, including scoping, business case development, analysis, and project delivery.
3. Monitor, assess, and evaluate portfolio trends; provide insights on KPIs to achieve annual growth targets.
4. Lead post-implementation analysis to measure success against KPIs.
5. Participate in portfolio performance routines, including monthly results, forecasting, quarterly results, and annual planning with Canadian Banking Finance.
6. Support business planning and strategy development for retail deposits in collaboration with key partners.
7. Analyze portfolios, including product types, customer profiles, and regional performance, in collaboration with Analytics.
8. Manage rate pass-through strategies related to Bank of Canada rate changes.
9. Consider the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.

Qualifications:

1. Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or related fields; MBA or CFA preferred.
2. Several years of experience in the financial services industry.
3. Experience in product P&L management.
4. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL.
5. Effective project management skills.
6. Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
7. Experience in pricing or direct deposit products is a strong asset.
8. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
