ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Manager, Business Operations & Optimization, you will play a critical role in leading and optimizing key people-focused processes and operational programs across our retail organization. This position ensures operational excellence in all aspects of people operations, including but not limited to staffing & scheduling programs, HR tools partnership, emergency management, and store administration. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in HR, Retail Training & Talent Development, DE&I, and Retail Leadership across Canada and North America to ensure a seamless and efficient store support structure that drives productivity, employee experience, and operational consistency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Educate store leadership on effective scheduling practices and optimize staffing processes using tools like Dayforce
  • Streamline operational workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve employee satisfaction
  • Lead crisis management protocols, ensuring safety and emergency readiness in stores
  • Act as a key partner for cross-functional projects, aligning decisions with business strategy and driving positive change
  • Develop programs to foster employee engagement, collaboration, and professional growth while promoting a positive work environment
  • Prepare and present reports on operational metrics and scheduling efficiency to senior management
  • Maintain accurate systems such as the Store Information Portal and Master Data Management, ensuring secure system access and policy compliance
  • Manage key operational programs, such as employee purchase, password management, and Paid-Out initiatives, with a focus on security and integrity
  • Collaborate with District Managers, Regional Directors, and FSC Retail teams to align on business objectives and enhance operational consistency
  • Support HR, Retail Training & Talent Development, and DE&I initiatives to nurture a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs, optimizing scheduling programs and ensuring clarity for role grids and descriptions
  • Oversee multiple projects from planning to execution, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals
  • Travel to Sephora stores as needed to support on-site processes and drive project success

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations, with a proven ability to implement successful scheduling programs
  • Proficiency in workforce management tools and software, paired with strong analytical skills to drive data-informed decisions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision
  • Demonstrated leadership and a proactive approach to problem-solving and crisis management
  • A commitment to delivering process improvements and creative solutions for business challenges
  • Detail-oriented with high standards of work quality and the ability to provide constructive feedback
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills to act independently and with confidence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with diverse workforce management tools
  • Flexibility to travel to Sephora stores as needed, supporting on-site initiatives and fostering team success
