What you'll be doing
As an integral member of the Digital Analytics & Integration team, reporting to the Director, Digital Analytics and Integration, the Senior Manager, Platform Behaviour Analytics is responsible for owning & leading projects that impact the business through in-depth research analysis, interpretation, and insights derived from complex clickstream data. The Senior Manager applies data subject matter expertise to consult with the business on strategic growth and competitive benchmarking, leading the development to deliver high quality executive-level read-outs and summaries while ensuring compliance with CIBC requirements standards, work practices, processes, security standards and policies. The Senior Manager provides guidance to internal & external stakeholder teams, applying a comprehensive, conceptual and practical understanding of the area of specialization to a wide range of business and technical situations while analyzing platform’s business performance.

How you'll succeed
Analytics Delivery: Provide leadership to the team in planning, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable data architecture focused on behavior analytics. Managing end-to-end analytics delivery, including requirements gathering, advisory on data elements, and overseeing regular updates with quality control processes. Individually contribute to producing key analytic outcomes that provide actionable insights from user behavior patterns and platform performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with peers across Digital banking and other stakeholders within the bank in both business and technical functions to provide competitive intelligence and functional insights for strategic projects, ensure alignment with our bank's strategic objectives, planning and presentations. This role acts as a bridge between different teams, facilitating high communication and collaboration and involves a high degree of stakeholder management. Build strong collaborative relationships by establishing and maintaining a communication network with various stakeholders including platform product owners, technology and other analytics teams for business alignment. Proactively chair and conduct meetings to discuss intake requests, gather requirements, provide status updates on key items, and share insights related to user behavior.
Leading: Oversee the team's intake of analytics requests, whether regular or ad-hoc, user behavior trends, and performance summaries. Ensure insights are effectively communicated to relevant business stakeholders and the leadership team. Support end-to-end deliverables as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology, data and business professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. Maintain personal competency and coach/develop team members in tools relevant to behavior analytics, including Databricks, SQL/Python for data extraction, data visualization techniques, and creating executive-ready presentations using Tableau and PowerBI.
Communication: Superior interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation. Ability to prepare materials and summaries tailored to executive leadership is a critical skill. Support the development of business cases.
Market and Competitive Benchmarking Assessments: Proactively scan the market to identify and assess new and emerging industry trends, customer needs, digital capabilities and the competitive landscape, including CIBC’s standing.
Who you are
You have a degree/diploma in: Business, Analytics, and/or a related field. It's an asset if you have a Master’s degree (MBA, MSc., etc.).
You can demonstrate: 5 years of work experience in a strategic role leading projects and producing high-quality deliverables, working with Data and Analytics tools and processes is also an asset.
You understand technical concepts, and can explain them in basic terms: You are fascinated by data and technology, and have a knack for teaching, and breaking down complex topics into business-friendly language.
You're digitally savvy: You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies.
