Senior Manager, Pharmacy Services – Chronic Disease Management (Contract)

Role Importance:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Pharmacy Services, the Senior Manager supports Patient Care Services programs in the Chronic Disease Management portfolio across our pharmacies. This role balances strategic planning with execution, overseeing the implementation of programs and growth initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Data Analytics, Professional Affairs, PC Health, Digital Pharmacy, Marketing, and Pharmacy Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise on Medication Review Scope nationally.
  • Drive business results through program and campaign development, collaborating with marketing, digital pharmacy, and operations teams.
  • Work with technology partners to develop business requirements and SOPs.
  • Ensure program implementation and execution in collaboration with Pharmacy Operations.
  • Foster partnerships within the organization and with external healthcare providers to promote pharmacy services.
  • Oversee pharmacy scope of practice and reimbursement adherence to provincial regulations.
  • Stay updated on pharmacy regulations and healthcare trends, maintaining documentation for the organization.
  • Create presentations for senior management and stakeholders, demonstrating strategic and project updates.
  • Analyze and report on program results regularly.
  • Support advocacy efforts for scope and funding expansion, collaborating with Professional and Government Affairs teams.
  • Perform financial analysis and develop business cases for initiatives.
  • Lead multi-stakeholder projects with a structured approach, developing work plans and timelines.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Healthcare or Business; Pharmacy degree an asset.
  • 5-7 years in healthcare program development within retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry, or healthcare organizations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, with advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong business, financial, and analytical skills.
  • Innovative, proactive, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
