Role Overview :

Reporting to the Director of Credit Risk & Collections, the Senior Manager of Origination Risk Management will lead the development and optimization of adjudication models, scorecards, and acquisition strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to explore new product opportunities and refine underwriting analytics to support business expansion within acceptable risk parameters.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the development and enhancement of adjudication models, scorecards, and acquisition strategies using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
  • Analyze the sales funnel and underwriting performance to identify opportunities for conversion improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Marketing, Sales & Ops to explore and evaluate new product opportunities and market segments.
  • Monitor and optimize risk decision-making through continuous testing and refinement of origination strategies.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on credit policy, risk appetite, and growth initiatives.
  • Lead system migration initiatives and deployment of changes in origination strategies, including the design, testing, and implementation of risk decision engines and loan acquisition / origination platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk governance standards.

Qualifications :

  • 6+ years of experience in credit risk, preferably in a fintech or digital lending environment.
  • Proven experience in origination risk strategy, scorecard development, and underwriting analytics.
  • Strong programming and data analysis skills (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Experience implementing risk decision engines and loan acquisition / origination platforms; demonstrated experience in system migration design, testing, and implementation.
  • MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
