CGL in Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Organization Development & Performance to lead enterprise OD strategies and drive a high-performance culture. Qualifications

  • Seven years of progressive experience in HR, OD, Talent Development, Learning or Talent Management.
  • OD certification or a related designation.
  • Knowledge of HR analytics, training, DEI, and HR technology supporting organization development (HRIS).

  • Lead OD initiatives and provide enterprise-level leadership for performance and development strategies.
  • Develop multi-year strategic plans to advance organization development across the business.
  • Leverage data insights to optimize workflows, resources, and program enhancements.

As the Senior Manager, Organization Development (OD) & Performance you will be accountable for providing enterprise leadership, strategic direction and implementation of progressive organization performance and development strategies to enable a high-performance culture. You will provide expertise in the consultation, development and delivery of a full range of organization and team strategies and solutions including performance management, talent and succession planning and management, strategic workforce planning, organization design, engagement, career assessment and management and competency frameworks to enable business progress and strategic execution.

How you will create impact:
  • Leading and overseeing organization performance and development initiatives that support enterprise workforce capability requirements of our business strategy and providing subject matter expertise on OD initiatives that support business objectives, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on best practices, identifying priorities and implementing operational efficiencies and continuous improvement activities.
  • Developing ongoing strategies and delivering multi-year tactical plans to develop the organization on a broad spectrum of programming.
  • Leveraging data insights, optimizing workflows, resource allocation and trends to proactively identify, recommend and implement policy, procedure and program enhancements.
  • Managing the delivery of OD programming, measuring the total effectiveness of programs, collaborating with stakeholders, soliciting feedback and leveraging organization performance reporting data to recommend methods to strengthen engagement, performance, and leverage the diversity of talent.
  • Coaching and developing your team, recruiting and selecting talent, managing and rewarding performance, and fostering an agile culture to deliver on strategic objectives.
To join our team:
  • You have seven years of progressive experience in Human Resources (HR), OD, Talent Development, Learning or Talent Management, including people leadership experience.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in OD, Organization or Industrial Psychology, Adult Education, HR Management or a related discipline.
  • You have an OD certification or a related designation.
  • You have strong knowledge of supporting disciplines such as Training/Learning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, general HR and HR Analytics, Program, change and project management and technology that supports organization development such as Human Resources Information System’s (HRIS).

Expected salary range $114,021 - $164,021+

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business
