Purpose

As a key member of the GBM Business Continuity and Operational Resilience team, the Senior Manager, Operational Resilience Strategy & Analytics, plays a vital role in enhancing the bank’s resilience capabilities. This involves designing and executing scenario-based testing, analyzing vulnerabilities, and providing insights through data and metrics. The role also supports training initiatives and incident management across regions.

What You’ll Do
  1. Lead the development and reporting of operational resilience metrics (KPIs and KRIs), ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery through cross-functional collaboration.
  2. Design and execute scenario-based tests (e.g., tabletop exercises, simulations) to evaluate critical operations and identify vulnerabilities.
  3. Analyze risks, single points of failure, and operational gaps; develop and prioritize remediation plans.
  4. Collaborate with internal partners to support GBM-specific training programs.
  5. Support business continuity testing, including site readiness, call tree validations, and satellite phone testing.
  6. Assist in incident management activities, including monitoring, escalation, and post-incident reviews to capture lessons learned.
  7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with enterprise resilience initiatives.
  8. Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment aligned with Scotiabank’s values and Code of Conduct.
What You'll Bring
  1. Strong knowledge of business continuity, operational resilience, and incident management.
  2. Experience in scenario design, testing, and post-mortem analysis.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is a plus.
  4. Familiarity with simulation platforms and data visualization tools.
  5. Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  6. Creative, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset.
