A national association in the electrical industry is seeking a Senior Manager of Standards & Business Sections to manage industry standards development. This role involves collaboration with stakeholders, facilitation of member engagement, and leading responses to Canadian installation codes. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and strong communication skills. The position is hybrid, based in Toronto, Ontario.

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Manager of Standards & Business Sections to work with EFC’s manufacturer members to help develop consensus industry position on the evolution of Canadian installation codes, electrical product standards and other related business topics. This hybrid position is located at EFC head office (190 Attwell Avenue, Toronto, Ontario) and requires some travel.
The position will manage various business sections representing specific product categories within EFC’s manufacturing community. The main outputs of business sections include industry positions on codes, standards, and project work. The senior manager will also provide input into EFC’s general advocacy around climate change initiatives relevant to their product categories. The individual will participate in key strategic and technical committees related to standards development, the CE Code, and electrical safety. In addition, collaboration with EFC’s marketing and statistics departments will facilitate the business section on requests for communications and market intelligence.
