The Senior Manager of Retail Marketing and Emerging Channels is responsible for contributing to the growth of the Knix and Knixteen brands across retail, wholesale and other emerging channels/categories to drive brand and sales initiatives across Canada and the U.S. This individual will be accountable for growing brand awareness, acquiring new consumers, leading the strategy and execution of seasonal marketing campaigns across retail, wholesale and emerging channels and categories like Knixteen, and driving traffic and sales in these areas.
This person is a highly collaborative leader who will work closely with the Retail & Wholesale teams, PR & Communications, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations and Planning teams to align in-market initiatives and in-store marketing executions with broader brand strategies and seasonal campaigns.

The Opportunity- Reporting to the VP of Brand and VP of Retail, you will lead from inception to execution, strategic priorities, retail seasonal marketing campaigns, and develop grassroots marketing initiatives for Retail, Wholesale and Knixteen
- Build and execute high-impact traffic-driving strategies across retail doors, with a focus on geo-targeted media, influencer marketing, mall advertising, community events and experiential activations
- Lead cross-functional launch planning for new store openings, aligning retail, PR, paid, creative and experiential touchpoints for maximum market impact
- Own and maintain the Retail and Wholesale marketing omnichannel and digital activity calendar
- Oversee the new store strategy and openings specifically focusing on geo-targeted initiatives
- Work closely with our growth and retention teams to develop and execute retail marketing strategies to drive awareness and revenue
- Work with our visual merchandising team to ensure the brand and marketing strategy comes to life in stores based on KPIs
- Build, manage and execute the annual and seasonal marketing strategy for Knix and Knixteen, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Explore and vet partnerships with external, non-competing brands to help accelerate brand awareness in these categories
- Own end-to-end marketing budget planning and management for Retail Marketing, optimizing investment across media, events/activation, and partnerships to maximize impact
- Manage and mentor direct report, fostering growth while ensuring flawless execution of retail and wholesale marketing initiatives
- Accountable for retail foot traffic and local brand awareness KPIs in partnership with retail and growth teams
Qualifications- 6+ years of work experience in branding, marketing, retail marketing, community marketing or consumer-facing sales
- Demonstrated success in hiring, coaching and leading field-based teams
- Demonstrated experience developing consumer acquisition and engagement initiatives
- Demonstrated experience coaching and managing junior team members, fostering professional development and high performance
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively across functions to drive toward common goals
- Proven experience managing marketing budgets and delivering strong ROI across channels
- Previous experience negotiating contracts and agreements, and working with agencies and external partners is an asset
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to remain positive and proactive, and keep direct reports and cross-functional stakeholders engaged and accountable
