Job summary

You will manage client relationships, mentor multidisciplinary staff, and provide expert guidance on geotechnical investigations, foundations design, seismic studies, and related construction drawings. A professional designation (P.Eng./P.Geo) is required.

Qualifications

• Expert in tailings and geotechnical engineering with mining/consulting experience.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering or mining environment.
• P.Eng. or P.Geo designation required.
• Strong networking and business development capabilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary staff.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Experience leading teams and training staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development for the tailings/geotechnical engineering team across Canada; build a robust pipeline.
• Develop strategic plans to capitalize on identified opportunities for recurring growth.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with clients and network to maximize opportunities.
• Direct and perform complex work with project managers across multiple service areas and subcontracts.
• Mentor multidisciplinary mine waste staff and provide expert guidance.
• Provide expert support and advice internally and externally.
