We are looking to fill the Senior Manager Media and Digital position for Danone Canada.
As part of this position, you will be responsible for:
Mission: Guided by Danone Canada's strategy and brands, the Senior Manager of Media and Digital oversees the company’s media investment strategy. The goal is to build admired brands by finding innovative ways to engage consumers—speaking to each one in a relevant, captivating manner that evokes emotion. This role reports to the Media Director and manages a team of 3 managers and analysts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, managing, and optimizing the PAID Media strategy for Danone’s brands to enhance short- and medium-term effectiveness (Turnover and Net Equity).
- Recommending media mix, planning, and budget allocations by brand, in collaboration with brand managers and media buying agencies.
- Managing and optimizing daily media plans.
- Focusing communication efforts by touchpoint.
- Monitoring media effectiveness and campaign optimization.
- Providing recommendations to brand managers and marketing directors.
- Experimenting with MMM solutions.
- Building business plans with major and emerging media partners locally and globally.
- Managing media buying strategies to maximize purchasing power.
Digital strategy evolution:
- Advising brand managers on evolving digital strategies (Paid, Owned, Earned).
- Ensuring the editorial line (including customer launch pads) and managing agency execution and effectiveness.
- Co-hosting participatory spaces (social media, blogs) with community managers and participating in crisis management when necessary, including strategic consumer communication aspects (call centers).
- Optimizing investment mix for SEM/SEO and content/media for websites, social media, and brand partnerships.
Team development and collaboration:
- Developing media and digital marketing skills within the marketing and management teams.
- Supporting the team in digital and retail media ecosystem strategies.
- Assisting brand managers, agencies, and the team in the Integrated Campaigns Planning Process (ICP).
- Managing relationships with media, digital, and content agencies.

About You
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:
- University degree in Commerce with specialization in marketing, media, or communication.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); French is a plus.
- Over 6 years of professional experience in media, both traditional and digital.
- Strong knowledge of digital platforms (DV360, IAS, Adwords, Vividata, etc.).
- Business-oriented, results and ROI focused.
- Strategic vision with the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Effective leadership of cross-functional teams within Danone Canada and with external agencies.
- Teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Innovative and creative mindset, with strong organizational and planning skills.
