British Columbia Rapid Transit Company Ltd. (BCRTC) operates and maintains the Expo and Millennium SkyTrain Lines in Metro Vancouver. With ongoing expansion and infrastructure projects, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of over 1,200 employees working on one of the world's longest automated rapid transit systems.
Primary Purpose: Provide senior leadership to Maintenance Teams, overseeing maintenance programs to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. Support strategic planning for asset maintenance, focusing on operational and resource planning.
Key Accountabilities:
Education & Experience: Inter-Provincial Trades Certification or Degree in Engineering, Leadership, or related fields, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Other Requirements: Strong leadership, team building, and knowledge of labour relations. Proficiency in maintenance best practices, safety regulations, and organizational planning. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Computer literacy in standard office and industry-specific software. Flexibility for occasional extended hours due to 24/7 operations.
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours/week.
Location: On-site in Surrey, BC.
Salary: $117,600 - $176,400 annually, plus benefits including health, dental, transit, pension, and development programs.
