Position Overview:

The Senior Manager, Learning & Development will lead the design, development and implementation of learning strategies on behalf of Client Services and Operations divisions at IGM Financial through innovative learning experiences. The Senior Manager will play a lead consulting role and will collaborate with business partners to deliver an engaging and enhanced employee learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and decision-making capabilities - Oversees the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of the Learning & Development team to ensure the smooth execution of duties.
  • Adult learning theories and models - Researches industry and regulatory trends in programming and maintains a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Instructional design methodology - Creates vision and strategy to articulate and guide CSO’s learning and development programs.
  • Visual design principles - Oversees the curation of professional content that simplifies complex topics.
  • Technology Integration and innovation - Drives innovative training program development through the facilitation of online resources.
  • Project Management & Communication - Manages and communicates effectively with key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Critical Thinking and continuous improvement - Uses data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness of learning outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with communications, learning delivery, program implementation, preferably in the Financial Services Industry
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in Adult Education; Business Administration; or related field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct training needs analysis
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
  • Presentation experience
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodology
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual (French-English) is an asset
