Job summary

Anthem Properties Group Ltd. is seeking a senior accounting leader to supervise and mentor a team of accountants in a fast-paced property management setting. You will review monthly financials, CAM/Tax reconciliations, and coordinate with auditors, while ensuring accurate reporting for partners.

Cross-functional collaboration with property/assets/leasing/finance is essential. The role requires a CPA designation, 8+ years in PM accounting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce with accounting emphasis required.
• A CPA designation (CGA, CMA or CA) is required.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is preferred.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• 8+ years of senior accounting in property management accounting.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and reporting deliverables.
• A willingness to learn, strong time management, and high energy.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial packages of allocated properties
• Review year end CAM/Tax reconciliation
• Work with auditors on year end audit or review engagements
• Review financials report for partners
• Supervise, coach and mentor accountants while working cross functionally with property management, asset management, leasing, and finance
• Review monthly/quarterly cash position of properties to ensure accurate reflection of forecasts
• Review distributions and funding requests prepared by accountant
• Review annual property budgets
• Review quarterly forecast for properties
• Assist with property acquisition/disposition
• Support financial systems implementation and enhancement
• Challenge existing processes to enhance efficiency and automation
• Lead special projects

You will

You have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce, major in Accounting, or a diploma in accounting is required
• A CPA (CGA, CMA or CA) designation is required
• Experience with Yardi voyager is preferred
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience
• 8+ years of accounting experience at senior level in property management accounting
• Proven ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment with tight closing deadlines and meet internal and external reporting deliverables
• A willingness to learn, great time management skills, and a high degree of energy and work ethic
• Strong working knowledge of complex recovery models and lease interpretations
• Exceptional interpersonal, Oral, and written communications skills

Pay range: $125,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
