Senior Manager, Integration Management Office, Corporate Strategy – Contract

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a Senior Manager to join the Integration Management Office within the Corporate Strategy team. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Strategy, the successful candidate will facilitate and guide post-merger integration activities related to our recent acquisition, helping us achieve strategic objectives. The Senior Manager will collaborate with multiple business lines to plan and execute integration activities, leveraging prior post-merger integration experience. This is a 12-month contract role with potential for extension and is an individual contributor position.

Location: Toronto or Waterloo (Hybrid)

What can you expect in this role?

  1. Join Definity’s IMO and participate in a transformational integration journey related to our recent acquisition.
  2. Manage M&A post-merger integrations for multiple workstreams aligned with various business lines, ensuring effective execution by:
  • Learning the business and operations to become the integration expert
  • Developing detailed integration plans for timely and successful execution
  • Facilitating alignment sessions within workstreams and across functions
  • Analyzing operational processes and systems, designing integrated operating states, and driving system and process integration
  • Identifying and realizing synergies supporting the strategic rationale of the acquisition
  • Supporting change management and cultural integration activities
  • Mitigating risks and resolving issues
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify and resolve cross-functional post-merger issues, dependencies, and risks.
  • Engage with executives and leaders, presenting strategies and updates on the post-merger program.
  • Gain industry knowledge and build expertise in the financial services sector undergoing significant disruption.

  • Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in M&A post-merger integration or value creation, at a Manager level or higher, gained from a top-tier management consulting firm or financial services company.
    • Experience managing post-merger integration workstreams within an IMO.
    • Proven success in dynamic, evolving environments.
    • Undergraduate degree from a leading university with high achievement.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project is a plus.
    • Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required.

    Salary Range: $87,400 - $161,000
