Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil is hiring a Senior Manager for Intangible Transfers and AECS. You will lead Global Trade compliance, integrate law requirements into systems, and advise on complex DT/GT initiatives across our global sites.

The role requires deep ITAR/EAR knowledge, strong English proficiency for international collaboration, and a on-site presence at our Longueuil facility with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Graduate degree with 7+ years in ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Very good knowledge of English for daily documentation and communication with international clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of International Trade law requirements into computerized systems.
• Act as senior Global Trade advisor to DT and business transformation initiatives.
• Translate GT requirements into clear business and technology requirements.
• Identify compliance risks and drive resolution with senior stakeholders.

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Manager, Intangible Transfers and Automated Export Compliance System (AECS). This position reports directly to the Director, International Trade, DT/GT and Automated Export Compliance Systems (AECS) and is part of the organization led by the Associate Director, Digital Portfolio of Intangible Transfers, Master Data and Infrastructure Solutions.

The position is located at our Longueuil facility, Monday through Friday, on a flexible schedule and exclusively on-site.

What Will Your Daily Routine Look Like?

• Lead the integration of International Trade (GT) law requirements into computerized systems, ensuring that International Trade (GT) law requirements are taken into account from the earliest stages of projects, applications, and digital solutions at Pratt & Whitney and its global sites.

• Act as a senior Global Trade advisor to DT and business transformation initiatives, with in-depth knowledge in the following areas: Classification Management, Tangible and Intangible Transfer Authorizations, Sanctions, and Screening.

• Translate GT requirements into clear business and technology requirements, and be able to explain, defend, and challenge them with project teams, DT, business leaders, and senior stakeholders.

• Identify compliance risks, gaps, and alignment issues, formulate practical recommendations, and drive issues to resolution or elevate them to the Director when required.

• Assume responsibility for assigned technology domains, including Classification Management (JC) and Authorization tools, Identity Management, Control Identifier Management, and GT Employee Management solutions.

• Ensure DT/GT functional oversight of assigned infrastructure, cloud environments, data platforms, DevSecOps environments, AI and analytics solutions, and file-sharing environments.

• Ensure that appropriate international trade law controls and requirements are integrated into systems architecture, processes, and technology solutions.

• Lead GT requirements related to master data, records retention, and export registers, including classification data, country groupings, approvers, and tools such as Export Aggregator, Centralized Logging, ExLog, and EwidApp.

• Ensure the maintenance of data quality, traceability, and regulatory requirements in assigned systems.

• Co-lead assigned AECS workstreams, advancing automation, data-driven controls, and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC).

• Support the Associate Director in managing the DT/GT digital portfolio, including planning, prioritization, execution tracking, risks, dependencies, and budget and resource planning.

• Drive assigned initiatives from requirements definition through implementation, ensuring the achievement of business results, compliance objectives, and delivery commitments.

• Lead cross-functional teams and workstreams involving members from International Trade (GT), Digital Technology (DT), and business sectors, using influence to foster alignment and remove obstacles.

• Represent the organization and International Trade (GT) pillars in assigned digital and corporate transformation initiatives and ensure business needs, compliance risks, and operational impacts are well understood.

• Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve International Trade compliance through technology, data, and processes.

• Provide clear visibility to the Director and senior management regarding progress, risks, decisions, and recommendations.

• Travel between various company sites as needed, approximately 10% of the time.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 10 years of experience in functions related to ITAR, EAR, and U.S. sanctions regulations compliance, using automated export control tools such as classification software, SAP GTS, etc.; OR

• Graduate degree and at least 7 years of experience in functions related to ITAR, EAR, and U.S. sanctions regulations compliance, using automated export control tools such as classification software, SAP GTS, etc.

• This position operates in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms originating from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
