Senior Manager, Individual and Foundation Philanthropy

Location: GTA / Toronto, ON

Status: Full-time, Permanent or Part-Time (Three days/week, pro-rated)

Reporting To: Lead, Individual and Foundation Philanthropy

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager, Major Gifts, will develop and manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors, giving $250,000+ to support global initiatives benefiting over 5.5 million girls. The role involves cultivating relationships, soliciting donations, and stewarding donors to maximize impact.

This position may include supervising a junior staff member, requiring a collaborative and driven approach to fundraising and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of major donors, cultivating and soliciting gifts of $250,000+
  • Develop complex partnerships that engage stakeholders and secure 6-7 figure contributions
  • Create tailored proposals, briefing materials, and presentations for donor meetings
  • Implement innovative strategies for donor stewardship and multi-year commitments
  • Communicate fundraising priorities effectively to align with donor interests

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience securing six-figure+ philanthropic commitments, with CFRE preferred
  • Proven success in major gift fundraising and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and professionalism
  • Excellent listening skills to interpret donor interests and develop investment opportunities
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally and internationally
