JABC is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Senior Manager, Indigenous Communities in the Lower Mainland area, to grow and strengthen Indigenous relations, ensuring expanded reach of JABC programs in Indigenous communities. If you are passionate about youth education, community development, and fostering partnerships with Indigenous educators, leaders, and volunteers, this role is for you!
As a key member of our Programs team, you will play an important role in developing relationships with Indigenous communities, recruiting and supporting volunteers, and collaborating with educators and community organizations to increase JABC’s impact. Your work will ultimately help more Indigenous youth gain access to JABC programming aimed to support youth in developing essential financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship knowledge and skills.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a background in education, with experience in teaching or facilitating educational programs. They must have a deep understanding of Indigenous perspectives, culture, and teachings along with demonstrated experience and knowledge in integrating Indigenous perspectives into educational programming and facilitating lessons that honor and respect Indigenous cultures and teachings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with Indigenous communities and interest-holders. An appreciation for Indigenous knowledge systems and a commitment to fostering cultural awareness and understanding are essential for this role.

Compensation
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some evening work may be required. The salary range of this position is $65,000 to $85,000 per annum. Employment offers are determined by knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
The successful candidate must be based in the Lower Mainland and be able to attend regular meetings in the downtown office and external meetings as required. This is a hybrid role, which includes working from JABC’s downtown office 3 days per week or as agreed to with the VP, Programs. Travel is part of the role and will include meeting with First Nations communities, school districts and other educational institutes, not-for-profits, etc. in person.
An offer of employment with JABC is conditional upon the successful completion of reference checks along with a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check, as required by applicable laws and regulations.
