About the Role

We are looking for a driven and hands-on Senior Manager, HR Operations to lead key HR programs and processes across our logistics workforce. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, culture-building, and compliance across the employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Own and optimize HR operational processes across onboarding, offboarding, payroll inputs, leaves, WSIB, and time tracking systems.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, particularly under the Canada Labour Code and applicable provincial laws.
  • Lead HRIS process improvements (we use BambooHR) and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Manage employee data audits and reporting to drive data-based decision-making.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for high-volume frontline and office roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs, refine job descriptions, and lead structured interview processes.
  • Drive proactive talent pipeline building through creative sourcing strategies.

Performance & Culture Programs

  • Execute performance management cycles, ensuring goal setting, feedback, and evaluations are consistent and effective.
  • Roll out employee pulse surveys and translate insights into action.
  • Champion culture-building initiatives that align with company values across logistics sites.

Employee Relations & Development

  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to people managers on team dynamics, policies, and day-to-day people challenges.
  • Support learning initiatives including onboarding enhancements and upskilling frontline supervisors.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of HR experience, ideally in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance in Ontario (federally regulated a plus).
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and lead through high-volume or peak seasons.
  • Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS and ATS platforms.
  • A balance of empathy, urgency, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on, collaborative, and ready to roll up your sleeves when needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience handling WSIB claims and return-to-work programs.
  • Exposure to payroll inputs, attendance tracking systems, or shift-based workforce models.
