What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Manager in Governance & Risk, Enterprise Risk in Vancouver, you work in a collaborative team environment to analyze issues and address client challenges related to risk management, regulatory and legal compliance. You will be playing an active role in all aspects of the client service including developing client proposals, leading execution teams to deliver advisory services to clients and develop your brand both internally within the firm and externally in the marketplace. Examples of topics you will be dealing with are risk identification, assessment and mitigation, taxonomy development, risk appetite articulation, limit setting and monitoring, scenario analysis and stress testing, corporate governance effectiveness, adverse event intake, triage and assessment as well as crisis management. The focus will be primarily on non-financial risk areas such as strategic risk, geo-political risk, reputation risk and other areas of operational risk. Knowledge of financial industry regulation (within Canada and global would be beneficial). You will work in a capacity as Subject Matter Expert and Engagement Leader as part of a transformation project, or independent assessments mandated by management and/or regulators. In addition, you will assist clients in enhancement of their risk capabilities and identify and address gaps in in their current practices, to build a more resilient organization. You will have a hybrid role, which encompasses developing the local Western Canadian marketplace. In addition, you will have the opportunity to deliver national and international projects.

  • Be a key contributor to practice growth, business development, pursuits and proposals
  • Develop your expertise in a specialization and your reputation as a business advisor
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts
  • Manage a diverse team of talented junior resources and provide ongoing coaching to them to enable them to reach their highest potential
  • Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure client satisfaction and project profitability
  • Deploy and develop current engagement methodologies
  • Develop own Point of Views, White Papers and solutions we can offer to our clients to support them in the best possible way
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs

You are someone who has: / You are someone with:

  • Eight plus years of relevant experience in Risk Management in a Consultancy or as part of a Risk team in industry with international consulting experience
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Organizational Psychology, Law or related field, or an MBA degree
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or a client-based environment; functional experience in compliance and conduct risk management would be mandatory
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues, demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet challenging deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, as required
Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $234,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
