The Team

The Senior Manager, Fixed Income Support within GCME Operations Technology, manages and oversees the team, ensuring steady state delivery of application functions and deliverables within business SLOs. The role involves working closely with GTA, other Technology teams, GWO, and Global Wealth product owners to define and execute business and technology strategies.

The Role

This role leads support for the North American Fixed Income platform (IMPACT ecosystem) under the GBME Securities Operations Technology portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. It manages application support and vendor liaison teams, contributing to the overall success of Technology for Global Banking and Markets.

The wider GCME Securities Operations Technology team provides support for business applications and processes, supporting vendors like Broadridge BPS, Dataphile, IMPACT, GLOSS, Vermeg/Colline, NIAD, among others. The team partners with GWO and global vendors to deliver technology changes within risk and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a geographically dispersed team, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and morale boosting.
  • Drive a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge.
  • Foster partnerships with Operations functions and promote technology as a value-adding function.
  • Coordinate with management on program statuses, releases, and operational impacts.
  • Ensure stable, secure processing platforms, managing issues with vendors and internal teams.
  • Manage support delivery, including support for systems, vendors, and project contributions.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring compliance, timely delivery, and quality.
  • Manage resources, develop schedules, and monitor expenses.
  • Represent GTA on industry and inter-bank committees, providing insights and recommendations.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience in Capital Markets trading or operations, with understanding of trade and post-trade flows.
  • Knowledge of securities products, platform design, data, workflows, and interfaces, especially on Broadridge IMPACT.
  • Ability to improve controls, automate, and increase efficiency.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in systems design, security, disaster recovery, third-party risk, change, and release management.
  • Understanding of global banking systems and procedures.
  • Diplomatic negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
