ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role leads a team of finance professionals, overseeing mortgage and deposit operations, reconciliations, accounting, and variance analysis. Responsibilities include maintaining chart of accounts and GL, managing IFRS 9 processes, ensuring accurate financial recording, and preparing management reports. The role requires promoting high standards of conduct, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, the incumbent will liaise with internal units and coordinate with finance team members.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial statement packages and reconciliations
• Implement consolidation accounting principles
• Prepare standalone financial statements and disclosures
• Ensure accuracy of chart of accounts and GL in SAP
• Validate IFRS 9 data and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documents for IFRS 9
• Reconcile GL accounts and perform variance analysis

REQUIREMENTS:

• Authorized to work in Canada
• Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• CPA, ACA, or equivalent designation
• 8-10 years of relevant experience
• Experience with IFRS 9 and 16; financial institutions experience preferred
• Skills in SAP, Alteryx, PowerBI advantageous
