Reporting to the Director of Loyalty and Partnerships Finance, and partnering with the Loyalty and Partnerships business, the successful candidate will oversee liability reconciliation and settlement processes, maintaining robust financial and accounting controls.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Director of Loyalty and Partnerships Finance to oversee settlement and reconciliation processes with internal and external partners related to loyalty programs.
- Leading the Issues Management process, investigating variances, assessing financial impacts, and resolving issues with stakeholders and vendors.
- Ensuring all documentation complies with Scotia’s governance policies and SOX requirements.
- Reporting KPIs and understanding key business drivers.
- Managing relationships with vendors, fostering a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank resources.
- Collaborating and communicating regularly with partners and stakeholders to keep teams informed on reconciliations and settlements.
- Promoting a high-performance environment, attracting, developing, and motivating team members in alignment with the team’s vision, values, and strategy.
- Considering the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years in accounting, finance, or loyalty programs.
- Experience designing workflows in Alteryx.
- CPA/CFA or a Business Degree with a strong background in accounting, finance, or mathematics.
- Experience in Financial Accounting, Planning, and Analysis.
- Strong partnership skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and modeling.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven, proactive, with strategic influencing and negotiating skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines.
