Job summary

TD Bank in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a senior Finance transformation leader to drive end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives that modernize processes, operating models, reporting, controls, data, and technology.

You will partner across Finance, Technology, Data, Risk, Operations, and Change Management to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, well controlled, and successfully implemented.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of progressive experience delivering complex Finance, Accounting, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Strong Finance and Accounting acumen with knowledge of controllership, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, audit or risk.
• Experience translating Finance requirements into practical delivery approaches and implementation plans.
• Experience in management consulting or professional services delivering Finance or Accounting transformation projects is preferred.

Role Summary

Combines strong delivery leadership with practical Finance and Accounting knowledge to translate business requirements into executable plans, manage cross-functional delivery, and achieve measurable business outcomes. Partners across Finance, Technology, Data, Risk, Operations, and Change Management to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, well controlled, and successfully implemented.

Breadth & Depth

Lead complex Finance transformation projects or a portfolio of related initiatives with moderate to high risk, complexity, and regulatory oversight.

Provide informed delivery leadership across Finance and Accounting areas such as controllership, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, audit, risk, and related processes.

Accountable for end-to-end delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, interdependencies, governance, implementation, and business outcomes.

Translate Finance priorities and subject matter requirements into integrated delivery plans, milestones, decision points, and implementation roadmaps.

Establish delivery governance, controls, reporting, and escalation routines that support timely decisions and consistent execution.

Manage dependencies across Finance, Technology, Data, Risk, Operations, Architecture, and Change Management workstreams.

Provide senior leaders with clear delivery insights, options, and recommendations to resolve issues and protect business outcomes.

Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams, including internal subject matter experts, delivery resources, and external partners.

May lead multiple concurrent projects, individual strategic initiatives, or a workstream within a broader enterprise transformation.

Partner with Portfolio Management, Architecture, Data, and Change Management teams to support implementation readiness, adoption, controls, and value realization.

Job Requirements

8 to 10+ years of progressive experience delivering complex Finance, Accounting, or enterprise transformation initiatives.

Strong Finance and Accounting acumen, with knowledge or experience in areas such as controllership, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, accounting operations, financial audit, or risk.

Experience translating Finance and Accounting requirements into practical delivery approaches and implementation plans.

Experience in management consulting or professional services delivering Finance or Accounting transformation projects is preferred.

Strong knowledge of project and program delivery disciplines, governance, controls, and implementation practices.

Experience managing project financials, resource plans, forecasts, risks, issues, and interdependencies.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional business and technology teams in a matrix environment and influence senior stakeholders.

Strong executive communication, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-support skills.

Financial services experience and knowledge of governance, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements are preferred.

Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.

Education / Accreditation

University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field is an asset.

Professional Accounting designation or relevant Finance qualifications an asset.

PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related delivery certification is preferred.

Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
