Role Overview

The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for Revenue Recognition and Credit Control for the Asia region. This position reports to the Senior Finance Director / Regional CFO and is part of the Regional Finance Team located in Singapore. It is an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

1. Own, maintain and manage the revenue recognition policy (for the region) in line with group policies and US GAAP.
2. Review revenue related documents (such as tender documents, sales contracts, purchase orders, LC documents) to determine revenue recognition criteria and to ensure that such criteria are met for accurate and timely recording.
3. Support the commercial team to structure deals that enable fulfillment of company objectives.
4. Develop, implement and effect credit management policies/procedures to minimize credit risk and optimize cash flow.
5. Manage, with the help of support staff, the letter of credit process for the region.
6. Work on process and system improvements to bring further efficiency to the Quote-to-Cash process.
7. Provide leadership to the AR/RR team, both formally and informally.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business/equivalent and/or professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA).
2. Min 7 years’ experience in finance and accounting with a focus on revenue recognition & credit management.
3. In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, especially on revenue recognition.
4. Familiarity with letter of credit processes and incoterms.
5. Min 3 years’ experience with ERP and CRM software.
6. Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
7. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Additional Experience

• Internal/External audit experience in Big 4 firms.
• Experience in capital equipment or life-science equipment environments.
• Mandarin business communication skills (Simplified and Traditional) to support contract review from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
