Job summary

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Education and Early Childhood Development department seeks a leadership-focused evaluation and research professional based in St. John's, NL.

You will oversee high school certification, provincial exams, student information systems, and assessment programs. You will co-manage PowerSchool, support professional learning, and collaborate with multiple levels of government and institutions to advance the division's mandate.

Qualifications

• Master of Education degree (equivalencies will be considered).
• Teaching and/or administrative experience at the senior high school level (asset).
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the implementation of high school certification requirements, provincial examinations, and K-9 provincial assessments.
• Co-manage the provincial student information and certification system (PowerSchool).
• Provide professional learning support to the education system and communicate with the public.
• Collaborate with divisions within the Department, other ministries, school districts, and postsecondary institutions on the division's mandate.
