A leading financial institution in Toronto is seeking an experienced Product Manager to manage the product roadmap related to Direct Investing. You will oversee project definitions, collaborate closely with teams, and drive the delivery of innovative solutions. What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will manage the product roadmap of initiatives related to Direct Investing and help unlock the business value and client engagement for their development and implementation.
You will oversee the definition of scope, gather detailed requirements, manage prioritization, and ensure features and capabilities are built to specification. You will work closely with the stakeholders, digital product management team, design, and development teams to build a clear product roadmap and monitor feedback and evaluate value creation. You will work on a variety of short and long-term projects to address business needs and continually improve our offering and capabilities.
Spot market trends and innovation opportunities for defining new 0 to 1 product initiatives, delivering breakthrough solutions for our customers
Foster an agile, innovative culture and continuously review the business needs, define priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
Influence strategy, build, and deliver impactful AI products that enhance the customer experience and improve ways of working.
Analyze our data volume and trends over time to anticipate how the volume may impact the usability of our systems
Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements including features, designs, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
Support and assist impactful go-to-market plans, ensuring that team members, stakeholders, and executives have what they need to launch successful capabilities
Execute through Agile Processes (Sprint planning, Sprint Retro, Backlog refinement, Sprint Review), and ensuring Jira/Confluence are up to date
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
5+ years of investment product management experience or relevant finance domain-specific experience
Executive presence and a thought leader able to influence and advocate for their views/ideas
Resourceful problem solving to help deliver critical initiatives for our business and clients
Curiosity for how systems work and interact with each other, and are passionate about getting those details correct through excessive focus and attention
Perpetual learner trying to continually improve your understanding of business, technology, and user experience
Bridge both the business and technical worlds, ensuring we are building the right products that combine vision, market/industry research, and client usage metrics
Ability to partner with product managements, executives and stakeholders to define the functional and technical implementation to solve business problems, including understanding high-level market data development concepts
Strong story-telling acumen to create powerful, detailed insights that support data-driven decision making, and convert insights into tangible benefits to the business
Strong team player, who can roll up their sleeves when required, and is able to lead and influence product conversations
