As a key member of IAMGOLD’s Global Technology Leadership Team, the Senior Manager, Digital Mines & Operational Technology will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mining operations. Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Technology, this Toronto-based leader will drive the integration of digital technologies across the mining value chain, enhancing productivity, optimizing operations, and mitigating risks. You will develop and execute a Digital Mines strategy, aligning OT initiatives with business objectives, and establishing standards for digital mine capabilities.

This role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and implement technologies such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and robotics. You will oversee the integration of OT with IT systems for real-time decision-making and guide cross-functional teams in identifying improvement opportunities. Additionally, you will work with cybersecurity teams to establish policies protecting critical OT systems, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

What You Need to Succeed

You should have a post-secondary education in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related fields; a master's degree or professional certifications in OT are assets. Experience in operational technology, automation, or industrial systems, especially within mining or heavy industry, is required. Skills in managing OT systems, digital transformation, IoT, AI, and data analytics are essential, along with knowledge of ICS, SCADA, PLCs, DCS, MES, PIMS, and cybersecurity standards like NIST. Strong leadership, change management, and communication skills are vital, with PMP and Six Sigma certifications considered assets.
