Job Description
The Senior Digital Marketing Manager is an integral part of TechBlocks’ sales & marketing team. This role straddles the world of individual contributor and team lead in a matrix-style organization, allowing you to flex your creative muscles while helping to guide and train others to be the best at what they do.
This person is responsible for managing external agencies and coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders for web design, video production, event planning, and more. In addition to agency partners, you will be responsible for coordinating joint demand generation activities (i.e. events, webinars) with channel partners, helping to execute virtual and in-person events, and other special duties as required.
To be successful in this role, this person must have superior time management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail in copywriting and visual design across digital channels, including web, video, social, and third-party channels.
- Develop and manage channel partners to maximize demand generation for TechBlocks services and offerings. Establish and sustain robust relationships with channel partners, such as e-commerce product companies (Adobe, BigCommerce), public cloud players (Azure, GCP, AWS) and other vital stakeholders towards a roadmap that is geared towards generating qualified opportunities.
- Work with partners and vendors (i.e. agencies and consultants) to create and execute joint marketing initiatives and incentives to generate demand and boost sales.
- Train and assist channel partners to ensure they are well-versed in our products or services and can effectively market and sell them.
- Discover new channel partners and assess their potential to contribute to our sales objectives and market penetration.
- Key Responsibilities: Branding & Communications
- Oversee our North American based agencies to coordinate timelines and deliverables for the website and all digital assets.
- Oversee content generation efforts and coordinate internal initiatives where SMEs share knowledge that drives thought leadership related content for driving demand generation.
- Manage directories, awards and other accolades to increase brand confidence.
- Work with our Digital Marketing Team to execute cross-channel organic and paid campaigns.
- Always be on the lookout for areas of improvement, propose changes and work with stakeholders and team members to execute accordingly.
Key Responsibilities: Events- Take the lead on event planning for both in-person and virtual events. Coordinate with venues, external speakers, and vendors to deliver well-executed events.
- Represent TechBlocks at events, and be prepared to present in front of an audience as needed.
- Attract guests to booths or meetings as part of tradeshows or third-party events.
- Plan and coordinate internal and external podcasts.
- Maintain brand tone of voice across channels and assist with reviewing sales documents, presentations, and HR material for consistency and brand execution.
- Understand the overall company goals and sales goals to develop audience-specific strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with digital agencies providing e-commerce solutions or experience with hi-tech professional services companies providing e-commerce solutions is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing focusing on channel partnerships, event marketing or agency relationships. Experience working in an agency environment is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Project Management (PMP) Certification is considered an asset.
- You are comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
- You have a valid passport and can travel to the USA as needed. You may travel up to 25% of your time.
- You have a valid G-Class license with no restrictions.
- You are comfortable working in a hybrid work environment.
- You are a natural-born storyteller who can craft rough ideas into captivating stories across domains and mediums.
- Proficient with HubSpot for CRM, automations and reporting is required.
- Flexible and adaptable to shift gears as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients.
- An understanding of the technology space, including IT Consulting, Software Development, SaaS, Managed Services, or other related spaces is considered an asset.
During the interview process, you will be asked to show samples of previous work, including project plans, and discuss successes and failures in channel partnership management.
