Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Insider Risk High-Risk Access Senior Manager, Data Lead to join our innovative and growing team. As a key member of our Insider Risk team, you will play a critical role in enhancing the monitoring, oversight, and security of high-risk access within our organization and its subsidiaries.

What will you do?

  • Extract, and analyze data from enterprise systems, such as high-risk permission usage, app monitoring, and case management platforms.
  • Develop and maintain data models to support risk-based oversight and analytics
  • Identify access patterns across data sources resulting in corrective actions to strengthen risk management practices.
  • Enhance and expand risk-based oversight over high-risk access, including privileged users, front-line staff, HR, procurement, critical business functions, technology, and development.
  • Create and maintain sustainable procedures and process documentation.
  • Ensure all analytics work is well-documented, repeatable, and aligned with internal audit standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to assess insider risk factors during onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and role transitions and address any gaps using IT risk management practices.
  • Work across multiple projects and systems to develop, communicate, and mentor others on solution design, implementation, operational patterns and best practices.

Must-Have:

  • Expertise in data management and access, extraction, and analysis of data from enterprise systems. Proven ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or SQL to automate data extraction, processing, and analysis tasks
  • Practical understanding of data protection risk, exposures, and effective controls.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML use cases in (e.g., anomaly detection, identity drift tracking).
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical experience with effective access management and risk management focusing on higher-risk roles and ongoing risk reviews.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with IT support, Identity and Access Management, IT, and security/compliance teams.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Audit, operational support, data protection, or governance/risk management experience.
  • Familiarity with internal audit practices, control frameworks, and data-driven assurance methodologies.
  • Knowledge of source data points related to business and infrastructure applications across RBC and subsidiaries.
  • Industry-related certification (e.g., CITPM, CFE, CISSP).
  • Background in digital forensics, behavioral psychology, or advanced analytics.
  • Knowledge of financial services business lines and associated applications and processes.
