This role contributes to the success of Global Risk Management and Credit Risk Policies in the Caribbean, ensuring the execution of goals and compliance with regulations. It provides risk assessment capabilities for the Caribbean Retail and Small Business portfolios and supports risk initiatives, including Mergers and Acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Focus: Champion a customer-centric culture to deepen relationships and leverage bank systems and knowledge.
  2. Policy Development: Assess proposed credit policy changes, participate in developing new credit risk initiatives, communicate policy changes, and maintain policy documents for Caribbean countries.
  3. Governance: Support audit and regulatory requests, manage approval authorities, and support post-M&A activities.
  4. Portfolio Management: Conduct monthly analyses, monitor performance trends, identify risks, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  5. Loss Reduction: Review loss trends, develop strategies to reduce losses, and monitor portfolio performance.
  6. Growth: Identify opportunities for asset growth, review policy restrictions, and develop proposals for risk and revenue enhancement.
  7. Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to risk appetite, promote a high-performance and inclusive environment, and maintain effective controls.
Qualifications:
  • University degree with 5-10 years of experience in financial services, especially banking.
  • Deep knowledge of retail and small business banking products and processes.
  • Understanding of industry trends in credit risk, compliance, and regulation.
  • Strong presentation, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing credit risk policies.
