Senior Manager, Credit & Collections - Manufacturing

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Manager, Credit & Collections for our fast-growing manufacturing team. Our ideal candidate is a results-oriented, analytical leader who enjoys building strong teams that thrive in fast-changing environments.

You are a strategic leader with a passion for credit collections, accounts receivable, and commission management. You enjoy a collaborative team environment, have a continuous improvement mindset, are results-driven, and take initiative to deliver outcomes that support business success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare working papers related to AR to support year-end income tax preparation
  • Ensure controls are implemented and performed related to the order-to-cash cycle
  • Lead and support process improvements and automation efforts
  • Coach and develop your team to meet performance and growth goals
  • Monitor customer accounts, assess credit risk, and negotiate payment terms
  • Partner with Finance and Sales to align processes and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze program performance and suggest improvements
  • Use data and industry trends to guide strategic decision-making
  • Perform Accounts Receivable month-end close journal entries and reconciliation
  • Review customer pricing, credits, and account set-ups in JDE
  • Lead and optimize credit & collection processes to improve cash flow, reduce bad debt
  • Oversee tracking, calculation, and disbursement of rebates and commissions
  • Review daily banking activity and validate incoming payments (EFT, wire)
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve issues and support credit policy compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA Designation or relevant post-secondary education in finance / accounting
  • CCP (Certified Credit Professional) Designation required
  • 7 years management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • 3 years of experience managing / developing teams
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and leading automation
  • Knowledge of pricing structures, rebates, and financial reconciliations
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and customer adjustments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - internal and external
  • Results driven with the ability to initiate and deliver outcomes that support business success
  • Customer-centric mindset to deliver excellent service with financial integrity
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (J.D. Edwards or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
