Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners in Markham, Ontario, invites an experienced Senior Manager, Credit and Collections, to oversee accounts receivable, optimize cash flow, and minimize bad debt. Reporting to the Director, Credit and Collections, you will lead forecasting, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Treasury, and Operations.

You will build and coach an AR team, establish KPIs, enforce credit policies, and drive process improvements including ERP integrations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, or Collections.
  • 5+ years in a leadership or senior management role.
  • Proven success driving DSO improvement and cash-flow optimization.
  • Strong financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and forecasting skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems; JDE experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting acquisitions and system integrations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and refinement of AR, cash-flow, and collection forecasting reports for senior management.
  • Own HB updates and ongoing collection forecasts; analyze variances and partner with stakeholders to address risks/opportunities.
  • Analyze and report weekly AR aging, collection performance, actions, and recovery plans to leadership.
  • Own and drive enterprise-level collections strategy to improve DSO and cash flow.
  • Lead weekly AR meetings to review aging and prioritize collection efforts.
  • Serve as escalation point for high-risk or complex customer accounts.
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop AR team members and/or managers.
  • Establish KPIs and development plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and support to AR and Sales on complex overdue resolutions.
  • Oversee customer credit assessments using financial analysis and credit data.
  • Monitor customer exposure and approve/recommend credit limits and terms.
  • Establish and enforce credit policies to protect financial position.
  • Partner with branch management, project managers, estimators, and Sales to resolve issues.
  • Maintain strong internal/external relationships and communication for timely payments.
  • Identify, lead, and implement process improvements and ERP enhancements.
  • Lead AR and Credit integration for acquisitions and data migration.

SUMMARY

Reporting to Director, Credit and Collections, the Senior Manager, Credit and Collections is responsible for overseeing collections, optimizing cash flow and minimizing bad debt. This role plays a critical part in Accounts Receivable and works closely with Sales, Regional Management and Treasury.

PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
Cash Flow, Reporting & Forecasting
  • Lead the development and refinement of AR,cash‑flow, and collection forecasting reports to support senior management and executivedecision‑making.
  • Own HB updates and ongoing collection forecasts; analyze variances and partner with key stakeholders to address risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze and report weekly AR aging, collection performance, key actions, and recovery plans to leadership.
Collections Strategy & Performance
  • Own and driveenterprise‑levelcollections strategy to improve DSO, reduce aged receivables, and strengthen cash flow.
  • Lead weekly AR meetings to review aging, prioritize collection efforts, and ensurecash‑flowtargets are achieved.
  • Serve as an escalation point forhigh‑risk, complex, or sensitive customer accounts.
  • Ensure discrepanciesimpactinginvoice payment are resolved accurately andin a timely manner.
People Leadership
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop AR team members and/or managers, building strong accountability and performance.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and development plans aligned with businessobjectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to AR and Sales teams on complex overdue account resolution.
Credit Risk Management
  • Oversee customer credit assessments using financial analysis and credit agency data.
  • Monitor customer exposure and approve or recommend credit limits and payment terms based on risk tolerance.
  • Establish and enforce credit policies to protect the company’s financial position.
Cross ‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with branch management, project managers, estimators, and Sales to proactively resolve credit, billing, and invoicing issues.
  • Ensure strong customer account visibility and communication to supporttimelyinvoice payment.
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships while delivering excellent customer service.
Systems, Process Improvement & M&A
  • Identify, lead, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cash flow.
  • Maintain integrity of customer master data and partner with IT on system enhancements and ERP improvements.
  • Lead AR and Credit integration for new company acquisitions, ensuring seamless data migration and continuity.
  • Train newlyacquiredassociates on internal AR processes and JDE tomaintainconsistent standards and controls.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (CPA or equivalent an asset).

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Expected Base Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
