Job description
Overview

As part of the Corporate Treasury Performance Management team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, in-depth and timely management reporting for Funding & Liquidity, including planning & forecasting and decision support.

Corporate Treasury is responsible for management of enterprise-wide capital, liquidity, non-trading interest rate risk assets, and execution of term funding, capital, and interest rate risk hedging transactions. The group also oversees capital investments and funding in subsidiaries, as well as local treasury activities in selected jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be able to convey their analyses clearly and succinctly, have conviction in their advice and be able to think strategically by looking beyond the numbers.

What you will do
  • Proactively provide expert analysis to Corporate Treasury VPs, Managing Directors and their teams through reporting and analytical insights, for both month-end reporting and forecast cycles, including Plan and 5-year outlook
  • Specifically responsible for Unsecured Term Funding, Covered Bonds, Inter-platform allocations, and Liquidity. The role includes analysis for Liquidity Cost Allocations (LCA), as well as Capital Management for Common Equity, Preferred Shares, and Sub-Debt.
  • Lead month-end reporting of the Funding results and present to stakeholders across CT and Finance
  • Lead monthly CT estimate submission/co-ordination for FOM project
  • Develop Funding forecasting models for use in FOM project
  • Work closely with Financial Control, Product Control and Hedge Accounting team to understand, analyze and report on Corporate Treasury monthly results
  • Manage overall Corporate Treasury NIAT month-end and weekly estimate process, balancing deliverables for several stakeholders
  • Assist in streamlining current processes through identifying opportunities for time savings and reporting enhancements.
Must have
  • CA/CMA/CGA or CFA or MBA/MFin
  • 5+ years’ experience in a finance / reporting environment
  • Strong overall understanding of RBC and Corporate Treasury business activities
  • Strong Excel financial modelling skills and Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of initiative and solution-based attitude
