What Is This Opportunity?

The purpose of this position is to support a broad range of activities within Cash Management Technology Canada (CMTC). You will manage all aspects of the IT budgetary process (development, maintenance, and NIE) and drive the annual work plan across the platform teams. Developing, providing, and monitoring metrics for the CMTC group, recommending process improvements for identified gaps. Managing executive communications, including assisting in the preparation of monthly BRDs and Town Hall presentations. You will lead, partner, and collaborate on initiatives aligned with the strategic priorities of CMTC. Experience in analyzing data, developing reports, and creating presentations is essential for this role.

What will you do?

  1. Financials and Month-End Activities:
  • Conduct T-5 forecast with 95% accuracy
  • Confirm accruals
  • Produce monthly Control Book for CMTC resources
  • Perform month-end checks (ensure all FTEs and contractors are fully allocated; 12% overhead for contractors; MIS matches billing sheets)
  • Ensure no outstanding invoices beyond 30 days
  • Support SLT and their teams with MIS/Planview questions
  • Maintain FTE story (including joiners, leavers, transfers), manage open roles and approvals for backfill/new positions
  • Maintain weekly MIS tracking file
  • Perform variance analysis for IRB allocations vs. forecast
  • Manage downstream allocations (epiX and BAU)
  • Set up, update, and close/retire projects in MIS and Planview
  • Assist with Q3 forecast and financial plan preparation
  • Collect information on Cap rates for projects for financial control
  • Identify efficiencies and submit for validation
  • Consolidate Work Authorization renewal requests (CapG)
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports
  • Strategy and Communication:
    • Assist in preparing monthly BRDs and ad hoc presentations
    • Contribute to Town Hall preparations (presentation materials, Slido management, support during the event)
    • Report quarterly success stories for the pillar
    • Assist in developing and reporting on CMTC metrics and OKRs
    • Contribute to executive deck preparations (e.g., T&O OC Commercial Strategy Update, RBPTI leadership offsite deck)
    • Advise EA on updates to FTE and Contractor distribution lists
    • Perform other assigned projects

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must have:

    • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
    • Educational background in Finance is an asset
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Planview
    • Experience with writing macros and automation
    • Strong reporting skills with attention to detail and analytical mindset
    • High initiative and sense of urgency
    • Strong impact and influence skills for dealing with senior IT management
    • Understanding of financial planning and reporting concepts
    • Ability to work independently and solve problems
    • Change management and communication skills
    • Contract and supplier management experience

    Nice to have:

    • Consulting background
    • 2+ years in financial services or regulated industries
    • Experience with Tableau, SharePoint, RBC Connect
    • Experience with executive presentations
    • Knowledge of MIS Reporting System
