Position : Sr Manager, Corporate QI and Safety Outcomes

Overview

Spectrum Health Care seeks a clinical professional with expertise in quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety to join our Clinical Quality, Outcomes and Education team. The successful candidate will lead and oversee the development and implementation of quality improvement, risk management, patient safety, and outcome measurement strategies across our organization.

With over 40 years of experience delivering innovative home health care and specialized services, Spectrum Health Care is committed to positive health system change. We are looking for a clinical quality and safety leader dedicated to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership in quality improvement by developing, implementing, and managing organization-wide clinical quality programs to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Responsible for risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Leads patient safety initiatives, including incident reporting and root cause analysis, ensuring timely identification, escalation, and resolution of clinical risks and compliance gaps.
  • Oversees collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical outcomes data to monitor performance and identify improvement areas, working closely with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ensures clinical practices comply with standards and stays updated on healthcare regulations, adjusting policies accordingly.
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers, patients, and regulatory agencies to promote safety and risk management initiatives.
  • Represents the organization in quality, safety, and risk management forums and contributes to industry standards development.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or related clinical discipline. (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in clinical quality improvement, risk management, or patient safety within healthcare, preferably in home care or community health.
  • Proven leadership in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and risk management activities.
  • Proficiency in QI tools and software.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards in homecare.
  • Experience with data analysis, performance measurement, and benchmarking.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
    • Certified Professional in Clinical Risk Management
    • LEAN, Six-Sigma, or other QI methodologies
    • Healthcare Quality or Patient Safety certifications
